00:00:01: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Roto Fest.

00:00:04: Twenty-two here on the radio.

00:00:06: it's the one hundred twenty six playing of The U.S Open Championship at Shinnecock Hills in Southampton on Long Island New York .The price fund is twenty-one and a half million dollars And the defending champion is JJ Spawn.

00:00:25: It's the fourth u.s open At Shinnecock.

00:00:29: most recently Brooks Kepka beat Tommy Fleetwood by one in two thousand eighteen, shooting one over par for seventy-two holes.

00:00:39: In twenty four Ratif Goosen edged to Phil Mickelson by two and nineteen ninety five Corey Pavin beat Greg Norman and in nineteen eighty six forty years ago Raymond Floyd beat Chip Beck and Lanny Watkins by two collecting a winner's check.

00:00:58: one hundred fifteen thousand dollars.

00:01:04: This Sunday the winners share is likely to be around four point three million dollars.

00:01:10: golfers doing well, The Golf Course is an absolute gem.

00:01:14: so let us jump right in.

00:01:16: we got a short stack of all stars for the moment but that can always change.

00:01:22: We have our six categories plus two wild cards And the first category, interesting enough Eduardo Molinari came up with his top five.

00:01:35: he calls them DP World Tour players for this tournament.

00:01:41: With these algorithms and they are Rory McElroy who's US Open Record is quite astonishing.

00:01:52: Ludwig has not won any major at all, and the ten majors he's played in.

00:02:00: He missed four cuts so that is an ominous record.

00:02:06: Tommy Fleetwood who had three top fives in the US Open tied for second in two thousand eighteen at Shinnecock.

00:02:18: Shane Lowry who tied for second at the US Open in two thousand sixteen and of course won the open.

00:02:26: And Justin Rose, who has one a U.S.

00:02:31: Open and has five top tens In this tournament.

00:02:36: We will start off with our guest from Texas.

00:02:39: Who is?

00:02:40: The biggest new fan of the Dutch football team?

00:02:44: mr.

00:02:44: Ogren welcome to you sir.

00:02:48: First we go links, then we go wrecks.

00:02:51: It sounds like my golf game.

00:02:56: Army golf!

00:02:58: Did I just cut out

00:02:59: on you?

00:03:00: No army golf there?

00:03:01: no we heard it.

00:03:02: Army

00:03:02: Golf yeah.

00:03:03: so yeah Shinnecock Hills is an amazing place maybe one of the best club houses in America And I think the biggest thing that they've done for this US Open, That's going to change.

00:03:21: The outcome is They have supposedly let the fairways get back To being forty-eight, forty six yards wide.

00:03:32: As intended...I don't know what it means But as intended.

00:03:37: So..that

00:03:38: was part of the redesign by Core Crenshaw Back when they did that correct?

00:03:44: I think so.

00:03:45: and, um...I can't imagine having fairways that wide doing anything but making Shinnecock significantly easier to play.

00:03:58: What is the width of a normal fairway at U.S.

00:04:01: Open?

00:04:01: about half of it?

00:04:03: You know when i played an Inverness in nineteen seventy nine And then later on Oakmont and Wingfoot in eighty three and eighty four.

00:04:14: I mean it was twenty eight thirty yards wide.

00:04:16: hmm

00:04:17: there you go,

00:04:18: i mean they just put a premium on hitting the driver

00:04:22: right yeah but um They've made them going

00:04:27: back to these white fairways.

00:04:28: they've made

00:04:29: my fairway.

00:04:29: that's a little bit like Aaron Hills The experiment they ran in Wisconsin.

00:04:36: Right, but I think and we'll talk about the golf course.

00:04:40: And i think what they're trying to do is in a kind of like it because there are doing with the PGA of America did at around me where their really trying to bring back the way that golf course was intended an maybe allows them by not having people chopping out from yard of the fairway over of a narrow Fairway They can really go after some more difficult pin positions.

00:05:09: I haven't it's just a guess, but we'll talk about as we continue from this.

00:05:17: Eduardo Molinares top five.

00:05:20: David are you going with Rory who is pretty hot?

00:05:27: He won his first major in.

00:05:32: He has seven top tens, two seconds.

00:05:38: Six top tens in his last seven U.S.

00:05:42: Opens.

00:05:43: so I think he's got to be a favorite up there.

00:05:45: is it yours?

00:05:48: Okay So the question would be of that list who was the better player?

00:05:53: Who's the best player at five?

00:05:55: and iIthink without a doubt In my mind its Rory.

00:05:59: But for the picking of this of this roto fest, I'm gonna go with experience and savvy And somebody who thinks that he might only have a couple more cracks at it.

00:06:14: I'm going.

00:06:14: Justin Rose.

00:06:15: Justin rose a US Open winner.

00:06:19: A us open winter on another golf course by the way.

00:06:23: then order for them to get a u.s.. Open they had to do stuff on it too.

00:06:29: make it a U.S.

00:06:30: Open, because Marion has shrunk to golf courses not quite big enough.

00:06:37: the host of us open so they have to do some things.

00:06:40: and So they did some things with Shinnecock.

00:06:44: if I recall last time They expanded the greens.

00:06:47: now that've expanded the fairways right?

00:06:49: And I just think the Times running out.

00:06:53: he's

00:06:53: still in peak physical shape, his golf swing still looks in peak fiscal shape and I think um...he is good enough chipper & putter.

00:07:04: I'm going to choose Justin Ross.

00:07:06: Justin Ross?

00:07:06: Forty-five years old that would be some story!

00:07:09: From Iceland.

00:07:10: we have our friend Adi Olofsson.

00:07:12: Adi how are you my friend?

00:07:13: Thank

00:07:13: you very much.

00:07:14: This human openness quite special because we have

00:07:26: for the first time ever and he was open on Icelandic player.

00:07:28: If I had an applause machine, i would be pushing that button!

00:07:31: I think it's quite spectacular to tell us about this young man.

00:07:35: yeah The Young Menace system from my golf club We um...I mean.. I used to coach him until he went into the state with the LCU And he's unbelievable.

00:07:52: He has won some tournaments already in the college, a sufficient one-to-one tournament and so it is really on good run.

00:08:03: We haven't got any downsides or bad weeks.

00:08:10: that didn't score quite as well as we did months before but not really much.

00:08:17: Again they qualified me.

00:08:19: He made a double bogey on

00:08:28: the first hole of second round, right?

00:08:30: Exactly.

00:08:32: And so he needed to do something and got his momentum with him.

00:08:37: It's from another birdie.

00:08:39: I think it was five birds after that To qualify.

00:08:45: So yeah there is a lot of excitement here And I've also been in Iceland, but we finally have somebody on the big tournament.

00:08:58: It is pretty impressive and both of you Adi you've catered for some of your players In European tour events and David You've cater it for Oliver in the Bermuda and in the Butterfield Championship The PGA Tour.

00:09:17: What would you tell a kid, how old is this kid?

00:09:19: Nineteen twenty-twenty one.

00:09:20: He's

00:09:21: twenty-one

00:09:22: yeah.

00:09:22: Twenty-one obviously never played the PGA tour event Never even seen Shinnecock.

00:09:27: he has heard everything about The U.S Open.

00:09:31: if You were to caddy for him what Would You?

00:09:34: How Would You Prepare Him For This

00:09:37: When The Preparation Is Just Started Right After He Got To Qualify And There'S A Strong Team Around Him?

00:09:46: Actually, my assistant is now his main coach.

00:09:52: So the team got together and organised all three of them.

00:09:56: It's so important to make less... Don't do much just make a lesson Make the player feel comfortable And try to be as principled afterwards.

00:10:11: He actually did really good, kind of guy that I coach from very long time, many years.

00:10:16: it was only a challenge to my best player that I could ever.

00:10:20: So he's really good at his job doing.

00:10:25: you know...to calm down and be the best guy in the other best man of day.

00:10:29: so yeah i think don't overthink anything just stay calm Just enjoy it, just breathe in and breathe out

00:10:39: David, when you cat-eat for Oliver in his first PGA event he was I don't know.

00:10:43: Fourteen fifties one of the youngest guys ever.

00:10:48: Was that being in The Tournament a success?

00:10:52: I mean obviously it was but was that successful enough or how far did You go in terms of setting goals For That week?

00:10:58: was to cut the goal Or were there less specific goals?

00:11:03: There was One very specific Goal Oliver and I practiced.

00:11:09: And it'd be the same thing.

00:11:10: that would tell Arnie as he gets ready to a play, sorry for saying that in English, Adi but you know that little thingy over-the-ay messes me up.

00:11:24: You know what i would tell arnie is That um...you only have control over one shot The very first one.

00:11:34: So when people ask you, what do you expect?

00:11:36: What are you preparing for and what do we hope to accomplish.

00:11:40: When he steps up on the first tee or the tensed tee whatever he draws that hits at first tee shot.

00:11:49: well And I know when Oliver and I were doing it We talked about immediately after he qualified.

00:11:57: And I said, people are going to ask what your expectation is.

00:12:00: and that expectation is i'm gonna hit the first tee shot well.

00:12:05: That was a good point.

00:12:07: yeah excellent point.

00:12:08: you only have

00:12:09: keep it simple.

00:12:10: that's the next shot they're gonna

00:12:12: hit sure!

00:12:13: You're not there unless you deserve to be there in the first place?

00:12:17: Well we'll be following and hopefully he'll get some TV time.

00:12:21: Wouldn't that be something else?

00:12:22: Are you in contact with him, Adi or... Yeah.

00:12:24: We're good

00:12:26: to come and thank them

00:12:28: all!

00:12:28: All right so we'll get some inside scoop.

00:12:31: who do you like from Eduardo's five?

00:12:36: I'm gonna

00:12:36: make my

00:12:38: little own rule now because we can choose but since there are only three of us choosing then i'm trying not the same person as everybody else.

00:12:49: I actually did put Rory as a name down, but i don't really believe in Mahabharat.

00:13:00: He's going to win

00:13:04: it

00:13:05: and i think Ludwig is gonna win it up... But i want you to put my money on Tommy.

00:13:11: On Tommy?

00:13:12: Yeah he has been like a little ghost so who knows what they've been doing?

00:13:22: They're not much of a pressure on him because he's going to be windy.

00:13:29: You are gonna need a

00:13:31: lot of

00:13:32: shots, you know.

00:13:34: actually maybe from one hundred fifty yards these guys might have to take up the five iron and hit low shots Because when this is bigger than ten to eleven it can really difficult shots and you need to control the ball.

00:13:53: I think he's got that, so yeah i'm going put my money on Tommy.

00:13:59: Are those shots that Ludwig doesn't have?

00:14:03: No, Ludwig has them all as well.

00:14:04: but if you see Tommy do it more often

00:14:07: than me!

00:14:07: Thank God he has a shot because he is my pick.

00:14:11: So I'm going with Ludwig.

00:14:14: Amazingly, you know...I looked at some of the ages and kind of lose track year after year after years And when i noticed that Tommy was thirty-five years old, Shane Lowry is thirty nine years old.

00:14:30: Then you have Scotty Scheffler who's twenty-nine years old which is absolutely incredible I mean, who thinks he's twenty nine.

00:14:41: But anyways my pick is Ludwig.

00:14:45: even though He has missed a bunch of cuts in his majors and probably the masters will be his first Major i'm still gonna go with him for whatever reason because nobody else has picked them And I like it.

00:15:01: next we move on to the top five pga tour players and here We have Scotty Scheffler who is playing for the career Grand Slam this week.

00:15:13: The only US Open missing from his trophy cabinet, we have Xander Schoffeler Who has six top tens in the U.S.

00:15:26: Open and His worst finish In all of the u.s.. Open he's ever played.

00:15:31: it was a tied-for-fourteenth place which impressed me very much, I gotta say when check this list out.

00:15:43: Then we have Cam Young New York born and bred Sleepy Hollow Country Club whereas dad was is a pro at twenty nine years old where Brooks of course five majors back-to-back US opens And we have Russell Henley, who's always a favorite kind of under the radar kinda guy at The Roto Fest.

00:16:09: Who has finished Tied for Seventh and Tied For Tenth in last two U.S.

00:16:16: Opens.

00:16:18: I will open up to bidding on this round... ...and i'll go with the guy from New York, Cam Young very impressed with how he handled Beth Page Black in the Ryder Cup.

00:16:30: Surely, he's played a bunch of golf on Shinnecock so it is tough to bet against Xander but I like his chances.

00:16:41: Mr Olesson?

00:16:43: Yes, Khamis will definitely perform where he is playing.

00:16:49: But I'm going for Sander Schauffler.

00:16:55: I mean, she was talking but the chair is a little bright.

00:17:00: This...I think it's all going to be around this.

00:17:03: It will be windy and dry with really fast screens.

00:17:08: You need a lot of shot making on that And you'll need strong short games.

00:17:13: But if you miss shots in the right spots I think Sunday is up to that, so he's gonna be my pick.

00:17:24: Interesting point now this is going to be a very big pick because Brandl Shambly's reputation might rest on his pick.

00:17:35: Look!

00:17:38: Brandl?

00:17:40: Yeah, Brandl who by the way does not answer my emails

00:17:45: He doesn't answer anybody's email.

00:17:47: There you go.

00:17:52: Well... If if we're gonna have a gentleman's agreement here, which I think we should You know you've left me Scotty and so i've got to take scotty shuffler just Because Let me see strokes gained Total for the year.

00:18:14: scotties number one strokes gain tea to green Combining tea in green.

00:18:20: scottie is number.

00:18:20: One stroke came approach.

00:18:22: he was little bit further down.

00:18:25: But my second pick on the Americans would have been Russell Emily and he's not been all that sharp with The um, He hasn't been all That sharp on the on those of approach game.

00:18:38: Hmm Well Scotty I think what Brandel Chambley said was that Scottie has lost to the air of being invincible On a show i think last week or begin over yeah last week probably Do you get the feeling?

00:18:56: I mean, is it because he's only won once this year where at this time last week was one four or five times.

00:19:03: I think any objective measure of Scotty Schaeffler... He's playing every bit as good as he did last year but when you get to be somebody like Scotty number one i don't the biggest unit in the room.

00:19:31: I don't think that's his style, Scottie plays for an audience of one and so when you talk about strokes gained around The Green he is number three.

00:19:50: Jason Dayes right behind him then Tommy Fleetwood I

00:20:04: mean, strokes gained around the green.

00:20:06: And it's hugely important just because of those elevated sandy high greens that you'll see a lot of putts up the slope onto the green.

00:20:18: maybe three words or some kind of rescue putting the ball up those slopes that are very closely mowed and then you've played there David.

00:20:28: yes

00:20:29: in that Raymond Floyd won, he had to walk an air of invincibility.

00:20:38: I remember that and we are these mentioned the wind now a couple times?

00:20:43: This is not your typical links course that goes out back in.

00:20:50: it has this funky kind of design where three holds form at triangle which means you're going get the wind from every direction downhill and up.

00:21:03: Do you remember that set-up with it?

00:21:04: Yes.

00:21:04: And was it windy, that year?

00:21:07: Well I'm... You know when we talk about the back nine ten eleven twelve right.

00:21:12: um there's a ten plays one way an eleven plays the next and twelve plays the same way.

00:21:17: then like thirteen fourteen fifteen just go back and forth

00:21:20: Right!

00:21:23: Real quick real quick story Please about Shinnecock.

00:21:29: I'm playing with Jack Nicklaus on Saturday.

00:21:31: So first of all if i'm playing With jack nicklaus on a saturday at the us open, i'm pretty excited.

00:21:37: Yeah you're making money.

00:21:39: Well i'm on the weekend and i'm Playing with jack nickles that are u.s Open something?

00:21:42: I dreamed About as A kid right And I can't remember what hole it is.

00:21:47: It's like five six or seven it's par four On The back and jack yet a t-Shot about twenty yards to the right of anything that I would try, and he hit it.

00:22:04: It got out in my mouth before i could say anything...I said go!

00:22:07: And Jack turned to me says

00:22:13: David?

00:22:14: That doesn't have And it's right in the middle of Fairway, about fifty yards in front where I hit him.

00:22:22: So that was one those moments like we're okay.

00:22:25: That wasn't an excellent impression of Jack by the way but he could have said don't you dare talk to my ball?

00:22:33: No!

00:22:33: He basically says that doesn't have go.

00:22:36: and actually what had shown me is this up-front demonstration And maybe Audi has seen this in a player or two, Or one of his girls where there's always that extra gear with the driver.

00:22:51: Because they kind go along and all of sudden One comes off to club you say oh shit!

00:23:00: What was THAT?

00:23:04: You know, Rory did it in the match play that one time when he drove the eighteenth green.

00:23:10: In Austin like all of a sudden It comes off to club and you go.

00:23:14: Okay Yeah.

00:23:18: So I do remember once watching a tournament there was Nick Falco and the goosey word on the flight And Nick was always behind reticuzin.

00:23:27: then this little part.

00:23:28: five object right and they followed just like and went over the bunker, cut a corner you know.

00:23:39: And saved himself.

00:23:40: like it's certainly right because he was way behind him.

00:23:43: so yeah I've seen this in.

00:23:45: some of my players can do that as well.

00:23:48: Yeah It is fun thing to have

00:23:54: Our next quarter category gentlemen we had five guys going off at around forty-five.

00:24:00: two one odds Two are major winners.

00:24:04: Colin Morikawa Who again is only still twenty nine.

00:24:09: and when we talk about Tommy who's thirty five?

00:24:14: Is he starting to worry that maybe Getting kind of time on thirty-five.

00:24:19: I got a win one

00:24:22: Tommy Fleetwood.

00:24:23: yeah,

00:24:24: oh Yeah absolutely.

00:24:25: Yeah

00:24:26: Absolutely.

00:24:27: And then again III actually think the Tommy fleet wouldn't Justin Rose just by what I know if their makeup

00:24:34: Mm-hmm

00:24:34: our two guys they'll take that as motivation.

00:24:38: So, you know... It is time to get going.

00:24:42: There ya go!

00:24:44: The two major was Colin Morakawa and JJ Swan the winner from last year.

00:24:51: And Colin like I said it's twenty-nine, JJ's thirty five.

00:24:57: JJ has missed a cut in both majors this year.

00:25:04: Chris Godder up, I got the first name right this time who's only played in one US Open.

00:25:10: Patrick Cantley still without a major and Victor Hovelin to finished third last year at the U.S.

00:25:20: Open.

00:25:20: Mr.

00:25:20: Ogren it is your honor.

00:25:25: Thank you!

00:25:26: It always nice to have a caddy shack reference.

00:25:31: yeah welcome that all Out of this group, for whatever it's worth.

00:25:39: I'm going to take the one guy in this group that kind has no form and style.

00:25:53: But God her up.

00:25:54: It's kind of like Cam Young, you know he is from Jersey I think and He also.

00:25:59: when you look at him You think my god?

00:26:00: He's like one of these journeymen that just never heard of but she's only twenty five or twenty six years old.

00:26:05: so yeah Definitely definitely a good pick.

00:26:11: Since we have our gentlemen agreement i'm not gonna pick them Like I planned.

00:26:20: and Adi, I'm sorry.

00:26:24: Did you pick Ludwig?

00:26:26: No!

00:26:26: I picked Ludwig all right.

00:26:27: so i'm gonna go.

00:26:30: um i'm going to call in for Rick Sessinghaus.

00:26:36: it's

00:26:38: what he called.

00:26:40: did he hurt his back?

00:26:41: is

00:26:43: the out?

00:26:46: no not nothing oh no.

00:26:48: but now.

00:26:49: So for

00:26:50: the masters, right?

00:26:52: Yeah.

00:26:53: Beware of the injured golfer and you know when I play golf what hurts.

00:26:57: i'm going on a golf trip.

00:26:58: uh on the weekend my only golf trip of the year My god!

00:27:03: Just thinking about it everything hurts.

00:27:07: But i'm gone with Colin Morakawa two-time major winner Two top fives at the US Open.

00:27:14: so i think he's got a good shot And I'm leaving Victor for you, Mr... Yeah.

00:27:21: First

00:27:21: of all it wasn't even my turn!

00:27:26: I picked Victor on the

00:27:29: time.

00:27:29: I jumped in getting a little mixed up with only three guys in the pool.

00:27:34: but yeah, Victor when you look at the European Ryder Cup team and you look again at the ages of these guys Rory Tommy Shane Justin These guys are old.

00:27:48: Victor is only two years older than Ludwig.

00:27:56: Does he have that killer instinct, you need to win a major?

00:27:59: I mean we talked about it Adi with Ted at the last Rotofest and then with you David.

00:28:08: or Is he just happy being in top ten having a shot of the Major?

00:28:13: Or does he really have The Drive?

00:28:15: Yeah, it comes always with those guys.

00:28:18: I mean if they smell the possibility of winning What kind of character are you?

00:28:25: You know me and Victor won a tournament.

00:28:30: He couldn't hit the ball for his life.

00:28:32: then suddenly he you Know some two good rounds and see he smelled that he could win them.

00:28:39: Do you know when do one that turn so this kind of characteristic?

00:28:43: If they get into that, because they love it.

00:28:46: They loved the game and they loved winning.

00:28:48: so yeah we should never try to write them out.

00:28:50: he is absolutely on this game.

00:28:54: if you accept him I mean... He loves the competition man!

00:28:58: And loves to be up there fighting for win.

00:29:04: They not only widened their fairway back in the original intention of of the architect of Shinnecock.

00:29:14: I just read that, or heard an interview with John Bowdenhamer, the USGA Chief of... The USGA chief championships officer on the course setup where he was talking about watering, syringing the greens and actually slowing the greens down as well.

00:29:34: Why would they do that?

00:29:35: Just because they expect a lot of wind in there afraid of the ball oscillating on green or because it doesn't allow them to use certain pin positions, why would they slow down the greens David?

00:29:51: All right.

00:29:54: So the way some of the greens at Shinnecock are and eighteen Would be a perfect example The whole location is going to be in the same spot basically all four days.

00:30:06: They don't really have any other place that they can put her except middle back left.

00:30:13: If the greens are too fast, then that ball comes off that green and kind of basically doesn't stop.

00:30:21: Same with par three hole where everybody had a hard time getting it on in the green.

00:30:27: same with the hole where Phil played hockey with it couple years ago.

00:30:32: Same number eleven.

00:30:34: If the green is too fast, you just really kind of can't keep the ball on the green if they're going to be running a twelve or so.

00:30:43: So and what makes the ball stop more than the height as it cut his moisture?

00:30:49: Right because when do think about golf course where its been raining there's still cutting in the same right at this more moisture.

00:30:59: The moisture is that slows down more.

00:31:01: then I have caught it seems.

00:31:03: so um anyway

00:31:08: right and you mentioned eleven.

00:31:12: i mean they say that seven and eleven are probably the two greatest par threes in golf.

00:31:22: would be a fair statement.

00:31:25: no because if your really going to remember part three You should be able to stand there and picture it in your mind.

00:31:40: what is looks like?

00:31:41: Mm-hmm,

00:31:42: right And I can't remember.

00:31:45: I definitely don't remember seven.

00:31:47: I Remember eleven because It just looked like you're shooting do a top of a Volkswagen Beetle.

00:31:59: yeah

00:32:01: that's what it looks like.

00:32:02: But you know, I mean... You can't stand up on the seventh hole at Pebble Beach and not remember it.

00:32:11: Okay would that be your favorite par three?

00:32:14: Actually well yeah i got all kinds of great par threes.

00:32:19: but um when you think a great bar-three seven at pebble in seventeen at tpc And twelve at augusta are all par threeds The fifteenth, not the sixteenth.

00:32:33: whole Cyprus point is unbelievable.

00:32:36: And then there's just so many... it's not that difficult to build cool par threes.

00:32:46: So you know

00:32:47: I always enjoyed a really good part three as the seventeenth whole.

00:32:52: and when I think about part threes, i think that my old home course in Lido on Long Island.

00:33:02: I remember Calcovecchia and Monty making a mess of it at the Ryder Cup.

00:33:13: but yeah, it's a phenomenal golf course.

00:33:21: We are in the next category gentlemen.

00:33:23: we're moving along quite nicely...we only have six categories plus the wildcards today and here we have five guys that are going off at one hundred-one.

00:33:33: so I'm a little tenor on.

00:33:34: those guys will pay off very nicely they.

00:33:41: But Kali, who won last week and just got in I believe as an extra.

00:33:47: We have Gary.

00:33:48: Woodlandt was the only major winner of this group.

00:33:50: then we had our favorite Danish team The Høygaard.

00:33:55: you get both them And we've got Seb Strucker surprisingly going off at a hundred one.

00:33:59: no David?

00:34:02: Yeah these guys are a hundred to one.

00:34:08: It's like their fatal flaw.

00:34:11: This is like money ball his fatal flaw.

00:34:14: He can't run or whatever, but he gets on base

00:34:18: right.

00:34:18: um You know i'm happy for bud cawley by the way because uh, he was gonna fall in one of those categories as Somebody who's so good.

00:34:29: and how come he didn't win on tour

00:34:32: really

00:34:32: got that monkey off his back.

00:34:34: I think you could never go bad with a twofer.

00:34:37: So the hoy guards are good sep?

00:34:40: Sepp doesn't seem, he doesn't excite me.

00:34:44: Gary Woodland the former champion I like a lot but just statistically by The Numbers

00:34:52: You're going Huygarts?

00:34:53: No!

00:34:54: i gotta go Akshay

00:34:55: you're going Akshey

00:34:57: even though I don't think...I don't really think He putts good enough right mm-hmm I Think that's his fatal flaw and is too skinny.

00:35:06: It's in the wind.

00:35:06: Yeah, and

00:35:08: he's too skinny but it

00:35:09: might be a problem.

00:35:10: But I think you know everybody is talking about that.

00:35:13: You know The feet from the putts from ten feet in are really the ones that you got to make.

00:35:20: Yes

00:35:21: There you go.

00:35:21: And also i mean just On on strokes gain total.

00:35:27: Just strokes gained total just going off.

00:35:30: that actually is the highest Of this bunch by far

00:35:33: By far.

00:35:34: there you go?

00:35:35: You're going with the lefty Mr.

00:35:38: Akshay Bhatia, I think that's a nice call.

00:35:47: Mr.

00:35:47: Olavson are you?

00:35:50: Yes

00:35:51: do still hear me?

00:35:54: Absolutely!

00:35:58: We're in the hundred to one category.

00:36:03: And you see the players, David has just picked Akshai Batia for statistical purposes or reasons.

00:36:23: I'm very organized and first going to say yes this category is here.

00:36:32: who do you choose again?

00:36:34: David picked Akshai, I did not pick yet.

00:36:43: The

00:36:43: Hoigats are

00:36:44: always going to be mine.

00:36:46: They're always gonna be yours.

00:36:49: One of them...I don't know which one is a hundred and the other one even more than a hundred ones.

00:36:52: so good luck with that!

00:37:04: So I'm definitely rooting for Jordan there.

00:37:06: But, um... For this intent and purposes i will go with the big Zepp who again you know-I think that maybe when we look at whether it's supposed to rain on Thursday or really windy then friday clearing up still windy saturday cloudy very windy and sunday with a temperature I guess in the seventies about twenty something, twenty one, twenty two Celsius.

00:37:34: Um i think that's exactly the European climate that the guys from the european tour are used to.

00:37:39: so i will go with ZEPPT and this category just incase mr long had shown up.

00:37:45: um we have our asian category consisting of Hideki of course master's champion Sung Jae.

00:37:53: Im still looking for Looking for a major Min Wuli looking for a Major and Major winner Aaron Rye, Mr.

00:38:04: Two Gloves.

00:38:07: We shall go back to mr.. Ogren since mr.

00:38:10: Olofsson is Walking around.

00:38:14: Is he really

00:38:15: yeah?

00:38:15: He's uh-he's looking for spot in his beautiful Icelandic mansion.

00:38:21: Yeah well France and Senegal are even looks like they're approaching the twentieth minute.

00:38:28: There you go.

00:38:29: I'm very surprised and impressed by the performance of the african African countries And disappointed by these South Americans so far, So we'll see if that continues.

00:38:38: i think francis definitely will.

00:38:40: hopefully We'll get them and we'll knock them out but we'll See.

00:38:43: Are you watching most of the games david?

00:38:47: I'm watching pretty much all of him Frank

00:38:50: there You go.

00:38:51: is it on?

00:38:53: Well, it's on Fox Sports right now.

00:38:56: But I'm just watching in the background here...

00:39:03: Give us a shout when there is a goal but from the agents.

00:39:06: who?

00:39:07: Agents?

00:39:08: Oh far and away!

00:39:10: Far

00:39:11: and away.

00:39:11: The best Asian golfer Seawool Kim

00:39:14: He definitely is.

00:39:16: So if i get If I get a free pass, can i pick one?

00:39:22: You'll get the free pass at MakeupforGuarderUp and ArcSign.

00:39:27: Adi are you available or should I go first?

00:39:31: Good!

00:39:31: I'm really good... I just changed it to my phone because I need to move around a little bit.

00:39:37: There ya

00:39:38: go!

00:39:39: But actually im gonna take Aaron From England, he's probably going to be in the right of good teams.

00:39:50: That would suit me quite well.

00:39:52: Definitely!

00:39:54: I think... He is good enough

00:39:56: for you to perform on that goal of course

00:40:04: and definitely a guy with a chance at making the cut.

00:40:09: Where will my list go?

00:40:14: I'm gonna go with Minwoo.

00:40:15: why not?

00:40:16: Haven't had him in the pool for a long time and now

00:40:21: easily easily The second best Asian on the list.

00:40:25: is he

00:40:26: okay.

00:40:26: Thank you guy.

00:40:27: like that Hideki kind of you never know with them, but I think Min Woo is definitely Poise to break out at some point.

00:40:36: And then we have perhaps was last time in a roto fest A group of five live guys and here we got Pretty big names.

00:40:47: We've got of course John Rom we've got Bryson, um...we've got Patrick Reed!

00:40:55: We've Got Tyrell Hatton and we got Joaquin Neiman.

00:41:00: And when I was freaking out When I Was reminded that Scotty's only twenty-nine it freaked me out equally That John Rom is only thirty one.

00:41:10: so That's the future of The Rider Cup right there with going forward, I think.

00:41:18: Mr Olofsson it's your pleasure in this category?

00:41:32: Yeah!

00:41:32: I thought a lot about that and those guys... And then i'm gonna let my more like on my wish be what I choose here because the only guy really I liked is title Hatton.

00:41:46: I've been, seen a lot of Ryder cups and he is unbelievable that guy.

00:41:52: Yeah

00:41:53: And um He's such so fun to watch how we talks to his ball on how you talk to himself?

00:41:59: You know lots of fun watching him.

00:42:01: So yeah I hope it will be good.

00:42:05: Yeah, well you know with social media and YouTube and everything You see all these moments of him And sometimes a lot of times using foul language which i'm fine.

00:42:16: One of the funniest moments I've seen, and i'm sure a lot of our listeners And then perhaps you guys have seen it is when he was taking a practice swing.

00:42:24: Somebody slams The door off the porta-john on the side On the fairway and out comes his wife or girlfriend.

00:42:31: It's such a light hearted moment.

00:42:34: He's like what are you doing there?

00:42:36: She's in the toilet Mr.

00:42:39: Ogren, as we move towards halftime of the football game not quite who's your live guy to go?

00:42:45: Who is your live-go-to guy?

00:42:47: The American little shit!

00:42:49: Oh no Patrick!

00:43:00: Now Bryson obviously he has won two US opens.

00:43:05: I mean shouldn't the clear or want to pick a pick you at least.

00:43:12: Okay, so here's my thinking on Patrick.

00:43:16: yeah

00:43:16: please okay if they expand The Fairways right what?

00:43:21: You would think would help somebody like a D Shembo or John Rom or Rory McElroy?

00:43:27: Then you got Patrick Reed who kind of doesn't really miss fair ways anyway.

00:43:34: So he can get it up there An extra few yards because there's really.

00:43:38: no, you know No worry about it.

00:43:40: Right?

00:43:41: He's not missing.

00:43:42: Wow

00:43:42: right.

00:43:42: and if you give him one last club in his hand most of the holes he's won One club better than normal.

00:43:50: And then he is so tenacious and just such a pain-in-the-butt That he's the kind that can hustle his way around The event.

00:43:59: now what I would really expect from him Is to kind of be Not really their not really there, and then with six holes to play go.

00:44:09: where did Patrick Reed come from?

00:44:10: Right.

00:44:12: That's interesting because in the U.S.

00:44:15: Open he hasn't performed that well as a tide for fourths of two thousand eighteen.

00:44:20: but I like the fact T can give it an extra of the tee cause hes'nt even concerned about missing the fairway.

00:44:27: Where was

00:44:28: twenty-eighteen?

00:44:29: Well, um, twenty who won?

00:44:31: Twenty eighteen?

00:44:32: now you're asking me a good question.

00:44:34: I mean i'm just taking notes.

00:44:36: Um, twenty eighteen u.s open Was in.

00:44:43: Wait a second.

00:44:46: Who won that?

00:44:48: Anybody have it?

00:44:48: here we go.

00:44:50: uh two thousand eighteen was when brooks one back-to-back Chinacock.

00:44:57: So he finished tight for fourth at chinacock and two thousand eighty.

00:45:01: there you go.

00:45:01: I don't know what i'm talking about but Brooks won there and he beat Tommy by one, Patrick Reed was fourth.

00:45:08: I'm going to go with Rambo because I like him.

00:45:13: now those are the six categories in.

00:45:15: gentlemen.

00:45:15: we have two wild cards please!

00:45:18: The highest ranking wildcards.

00:45:21: that or they're not on the list.

00:45:23: it can be picked.

00:45:24: our Matt Fitzpatrick at twenty-one not an Eduardo's List.

00:45:28: We have Sam Burns, we have The Hotel at forty to one.

00:45:32: We have Bobby Mack at sixty five and there was another guy.

00:45:35: I forgot who the other guy was.

00:45:37: I Have it's written down somewhere but you can pick anybody You like?

00:45:44: And maybe we will start with.

00:45:47: Should we just go one pic first so we don't pick.

00:45:49: the same guys want to do that way?

00:45:51: yeah i think.

00:45:52: so There

00:45:52: you go.

00:45:53: adi Can you give us a wild card?

00:45:56: Yeah, of course I'm gonna go with my Icelandic guy.

00:45:59: He's not going to win but i have to pick him.

00:46:02: It

00:46:03: is the only chance The first time and you know it will be my first pick.

00:46:10: The other favorite of the top five that has been picked was JT at fifty-one.

00:46:15: David give us one of your wild cards.

00:46:17: All right well Of all people who weren't in the first six categories Obviously, Matthew Fitzpatrick would be somebody.

00:46:29: But Frank?

00:46:30: I'm going

00:46:32: to give you a gift!

00:46:33: You're

00:46:37: gonna go to Jake Knapp.

00:46:42: And do you know why?

00:46:45: Because he's number four on the tour in total strokes gained.

00:46:50: And I really think that as you can tell, I have a theme about Shinnecock.

00:46:54: is he gets somebody with the complete game playing their golf course and i think they'll do well.

00:47:05: Jake Knapp it Is!

00:47:14: Was it the PGA?

00:47:19: Yeah, I was thinking of taking him and he was just so solid.

00:47:26: Very happy with them David.

00:47:28: your second wildcard please.

00:47:30: Well

00:47:31: what's really interesting of course is Maverick is right between Brooks & Lindham Clark.

00:47:37: Are

00:47:38: you taking the hotel?

00:47:40: no because if you guys aren't gonna take Matt Fitzpatrick.

00:47:43: i'm going to take em this time.

00:47:47: I actually really have a hunch that Matt Fitzpatrick wins, and he does it by multiple strokes.

00:47:52: Wow!

00:47:54: We're going to have to chat with Eduardo about that if you do.

00:47:59: Jake Knapp and Matt FitzPatrick for David.

00:48:03: And Adi who is your second wild card please?

00:48:07: It's gonna be Bobby.

00:48:13: Scottish game a little bit, but I agree with him.

00:48:17: Patrick is going to be up there and his confidence is really high.

00:48:21: he's well prepared.

00:48:22: He can do all the shots And it will help him if it was a little brighter.

00:48:29: But I think Bobby Mac is gonna be out there aswell especially If it gets tough.

00:48:37: He kind of thrives in those kinds of situations.

00:48:43: I like that pick very much Bobby McIntyre.

00:48:46: And, uh... I'm gonna go um and i-i want to.. I have too!

00:48:50: I will go of course with Matty and see how he does in his first U.S Open.

00:48:58: I know Craig is there preparing with him and they're going to have an awesome time.

00:49:09: Guys, thank you very much.

00:49:10: I think it was a great threesome.
